Desilting of the Pappan Thangal minor irrigation tank at Veeranakunnam habitation, Veeranakunnam panchayat, Madurantakam block (Maduranthakam sub division). The work covers removal of 5580 cubic metres of silt across a bund length of 432 metres through 6 desilting pits, restoring storage capacity for the 2.15 hectare tank (Survey No. 87/A) and strengthening groundwater recharge for surrounding farmland.
