CSR Guidelines
CSR activity in India is governed by Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, the Companies (CSR Policy) Rules, 2014 and subsequent amendments, together with Schedule VII which lists permitted activities.
- Projects must fall within Schedule VII activity heads.
- Preference is given to the local area of company operations — for companies operating here, Chengalpattu district.
- Administrative overheads are limited as prescribed under the CSR Rules.
- Ongoing projects require an annual action plan and impact assessment where applicable.
