Desilting of the Sirumailur Thangal minor irrigation tank at Sirumailur Colony habitation, Sirumailur panchayat, Chithamur block (Maduranthakam sub division). The work covers removal of 1875 cubic metres of silt across a bund length of 440 metres through 3 desilting pits, restoring storage capacity for the 21.06 hectare tank (Survey No. 196) and strengthening groundwater recharge for surrounding farmland.
